Ten things I have learnt about myself as an individual
- I work better on an evening
- I am pretty organized
- I am very accident prone and illness prone but I have been eating well lately (veg) and this seems to keep me healthy
- I am pretty hard on myself
- I need breakfast or I will be tired for the rest of the day
- I don't like mornings
- I am much more focused than I was at 19
- I am pretty shy and quiet (more so as I get older)
- People find me funny sometimes
- I am very laid back with anything other to do with work which is a passion and something I care about so it stresses me out a lot
Ten things I have learnt about myself as a learner
- It takes me a few hours to pull round on a morning so I work best later on
- I am a good listener
- Taking notes helps a lot
- I try to take any advice on board and really work on it whereas when I was younger I used to think I was right, ignore it and carry on doing what I was doing before
- I am pretty good at getting my blog sorted and up to date, I can talk for England and need to cut this down
- With essays too, I find myself writing 1000 words too many and having to cut down - really need to work on that
- My drawing quality is improving through re-drawing things
- I am relying less on reference material
- If I stay behind until 7 o'clock I get more done
- I work best on my own (in the cintique) where I can't be distracted
- I am quite punctual, never late
Things I will promise to do to improve
- Get up at 7:30 everyday. Half an hour to pull round and eat breakfast, an hour to get ready
- Stay behind until 7 o'clock on the days that I don't have work. This means I will get home in time to have my tea and do any chores around the flat or watch a film and chill.
- Eat better - fruit and vegetables lately have stopped me from getting ill for a while meaning I attended more and was more focused and driven.
- Keep up to date with my blogs, don't fall behind
- Draw and re-draw ideas it really improves my drawing technique
- Need to be more experimental with media rather than jumping straight into one idea
- Go out and socialize more on nights out, not get too bogged down with work and uni work and become unhappy
- Stay focused, see the bigger picture of what I want from this whole degree. Keep motivated.
- Try to make my work funny and appealing to others. Try to make my drawing style funny in itself
- Keep looking at illustrators for influence. Print out their work and keep it beside me when I am working.
